Job Purpose:
The Researcher is responsible for developing, formulating, and optimizing food and beverage products within the company’s innovation pipeline. This role supports New Product Development (NPD), Product Renovation, category initiatives, and VICO (Value-In Cost-Out) projects across nutritional foods, beverages, ready‑to‑eat (RTE) products, and dairy & plant‑based dairy. The position contributes to both Thailand and international markets by ensuring that all formulations meet performance, safety, quality, and cost requirements aligned with the company’s Global Health & Wellness strategy.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, improve, and optimize food and beverage formulations to meet quality, safety, cost, and sensory requirements.
- Conduct laboratory trials, product testing, and shelf-life studies to ensure stability and consistency.
- Research and select raw materials, ingredients, and additives in compliance with food regulations and standards.
- Prepare and maintain formulation records, technical reports, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Support pilot trials, scale-up, and technology transfer from laboratory to production.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, internal standards, and GMP/HACCP requirements.
- Continuously improve formulations to enhance product performance, consumer acceptance, and cost efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, Nutrition Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product formulation, especially in nutritional food, beverage, dairy, or plant-based dairy, supplement and sweet snacks would be advantage
- Hands-on experience in pilot plant trials, sensory testing, ingredient functionality, and processing technology.
- Knowledge of functional ingredients, stabilizers, proteins, emulsifiers, and nutritional fortification systems.
- Knowledge of food processing, food regulations and functional ingredients.
- Experience with international product adaptation and export compliance is an advantage
- Strong technical knowledge in formulation science, food processing and food chemistry
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for formulation and process challenges.
- Understanding of cost structure and ability to support VICO initiatives
- Good analytical problem-solving interpersonal skill and teamwork
- Good project management and coordination skills.
- Self-initiate and manage multiple projects / tasks independently.
- Team player with excellent communication skills (English and Thai).
- Creative and consumer-centric mindset for innovation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis tools.
