Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Trade Marketing Planning
- Develop and implement international trade marketing strategies aligned with brand positioning and offline & online channel strategies.
- Plan and execute product launches, in-store activations, and promotional campaigns to drive sell-out and market penetration.
- Translate brand strategies into actionable and executable trade marketing plans across different international markets and sales channels.
2. Support for International Sales Team
- Work closely with International Sales to design market-specific trade programs that support sales targets and overall business objectives.
- Develop and provide trade marketing toolkits, point-of-sale (POS) materials, promotional calendars, and execution guidelines.
- Support distributor and key account negotiations by providing data-driven insights, promotional proposals, and merchandising standards.
- Monitor trade marketing performance, report results to sales leadership, and recommend adjustments to achieve defined KPIs.
3. Retail Partnerships & Merchandising Excellence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners across international markets.
- Ensure optimal shelf placement, in-store visibility, and compliance with planograms and merchandising standards.
- Drive consistency in brand execution while allowing flexibility to accommodate local market requirements.
4. Financial & Performance Management
- Plan and manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with business priorities.
- Monitor the P&L impact of trade marketing activities and control spending effectiveness.
- Track and evaluate the ROI of promotions and trade investments, providing clear recommendations for optimization and improvement.
5. Product Portfolio & Market Analysis
- Analyze market landscapes, trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and enhance trade marketing strategies.
- Support new product development (NPD) launches through feasibility studies, pricing analysis, and promotional planning.
- Conduct SKU performance and profitability analysis to support portfolio optimization and rationalization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, International Business, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in Trade Marketing or Commercial roles within FMCG, with at least 3–5 years managing international or regional markets.
- Proven experience working with international distributors, key accounts, and cross-border trade operations.
- Strong understanding of international trade marketing strategies, retail execution, merchandising standards, and offline & online channel dynamics.
- Solid experience in budget management, P&L analysis, ROI evaluation, and financial performance tracking.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to leverage market data, consumer insights, and sales analytics to drive business decisions
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
